If you’re a fan of TTRPGs like we are, you’ll be excited to learn that Chaosium is back at PAX Australia 2026 with an exciting lineup that’s sure to captivate both newcomers and seasoned players alike.

Known for iconic titles like Call of Cthulhu, RuneQuest, and Pendragon (and of course my favourite: Basic Roleplaying), Chaosium brings decades of gaming legacy to the convention floor—and they’re ready to welcome everyone into their worlds!

TTRPG Demos

Chaosium is offering a series of free two-hour TTRPG demo sessions, designed specifically for first-time players. No prior experience needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to dive into one of their classic universes! During these sessions, Chaosium staff will handle all the rules and provide every component you’ll need to jump in headfirst.

Choose your adventure:

• RuneQuest: Explore a Bronze Age fantasy realm filled with magic, monsters, and ancient mysteries.
• Pendragon: Step into the legendary court of King Arthur and become one little part of the greatest romantic stories ever told.
• Call of Cthulhu: Face cosmic horror in one of the most iconic horror games ever designed!

These demos are a fantastic way to experience Chaosium’s worlds without any prep work. Spots fill up fast, so mark your calendar and head to their booth early!

Horror on the Orient Express

Chaosium’s latest board game will be on-show: Horror on the Orient Express, a co-operative board game that’s already turned heads (and raised over $3 million during crowdfunding)!

In this thrilling game, players must work together to survive a doomed train ride through the Dreamlands. As passengers scramble for survival, you’ll uncover which crew members are secretly cultists plotting to unleash ancient horrors. With high replayability and suspenseful gameplay, it’s perfect for fans of mystery, teamwork, and spine-tingling twists.

We’ll be there on day one, as Chaosium always bring the best adventures for us to sink our teeth into. Hopefully they’ll have some BRP books to buy!
